PDF Master ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how our mobile application processes and protects your data.
Information Collection and Storage
A. On-Device Local Document Processing
Offline-FirstPDF Master is an offline-first document application. All PDF reading, editing, annotations, text extraction, page merging, splitting, watermarking, password encryption, and formatting occur locally on your device. None of your document contents are ever transmitted to or processed on remote cloud servers.
B. Camera & Document Scanning (Google ML Kit)
When you use the document scanner or Optical Character Recognition (OCR) features, image capture and text processing are performed entirely on your device using Google ML Kit. Your documents and scanned images are never transmitted or saved to external servers.
C. App Performance & Diagnostics (Google Firebase Analytics)
We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized usage counters and diagnostic data (such as app open events, session length, device model, and OS version) to ensure application stability and optimize user experience. This data cannot be used to identify you personally or view your documents.
App Permissions
PDF Master only requests device permissions strictly required to deliver standard core features:
Storage / Files Access
Needed to open, edit, save, and export PDF files directly on your device.
Camera Permission
Needed solely when using the document scanner feature to convert physical paper to PDF.
Data Sharing and Third-Party Services
We do not sell, share, or rent your personal documents or data to third parties.
Data Retention and Control
You retain full control over your documents at all times. You can delete your PDF files or clear application storage at any time directly through your device settings or by uninstalling the application. Since we do not host user documents on external servers, uninstalling the app permanently purges local app data.
